The Evolution of Subway Cars
I decided to take a break from NYC and visit my hometown of Chicago this week. Although it had been a while since I had been to the Windy City, things for the most part, looked the same. That was until I stepped onto the subway. Immediately, I noticed something different: the seats were facing inwards as opposed to forward or backward.
Chicago is slowly adopting a New York feel to their transit system. The new cars sport fancy maps that indicate which stop the train is at. I find this addition extremely useful since I often can't hear what the automated voice says over the loudspeaker due to the fact that I frequently have headphones in my ears. My main concern about these new cars is the decrease in the number of seats in the cars. I'm not sure how I feel about these new trains. I guess time will tell.

I'm Back...Sorf of
As you may remember from over 4 years ago, my old blog The Brewing Luminous died when I had to switch from Comcast. Now, I'm starting a new one. All of my rare and out-of-print albums are in storage somewhere, so it will be a while until I post any free music. As before, I will only post music that is out of print. If an album that I have posted is reissued, send me a private message and I will remove the link.
In addition to presenting out of print material, I will also review in print albums that I find interesting. Of course, there will be no free downloads for these. I am happy to give The Brewing Luminous a second shot, and I hope you will come along for the ride.
